Immediate Needs

As you know, these last couple of years have been extremely difficult for the people in Haiti and for IYFM. Rioting, gang violence, kidnappings, murders and a complete lack of government protection or intervention have forced most Christian evangelistic ministries out of Haiti. However, IYFM hasn’t left.

The Lord has brought much to us. The fields are ripe for the harvest and Satan continues to work against us. We are in a difficult time in our ministry. This past spring we had to evacuate from the Port-au-Prince area in the south for the relative safety of the Cap-Haitien area in the north (along with literally a million other people). Although this has been the key to the ministry expansion that the Lord has had in store for us, it has also been a tremendous financial strain to our ministry, driving up the costs of housing (now rent payments for two houses), water, food and everything else.

Here is an immediate prayer need:

• Housing costs in Cap-Haitien are 4-5 times higher than in the south. We have a three-month rent payment of $10,000 due on October 15th. Please pray for those funds to come in time to make the payment and avoid having to move back to Port au Prince until it is safe to do so.
